Leadership Lodi

What is Leadership Lodi?

Since its beginning in 1990, Leadership Lodi has been designed to inspire and motivate Lodi area citizens to achieve higher levels of leadership responsibility. The ten-month program provides participants with the necessary information to understand the complexities of the Lodi community.

In addition, the program provides students with the opportunity to meet and exchange ideas with current community leaders. Participants discuss, explore and learn about topics such as Leadership Dynamics, Government, Education, Law, Agribusiness, Economic Development, Heath and the Arts. This is accomplished with meetings on the second Tuesday from February through October. Besides the monthly meetings, the class assembles in the Spring for a weekend retreat
and again in January for their graduation ceremony.

To foster their leadership skills and build teamwork, each class chooses a project that benefits a local non-profit, this project includes, planning, fund-raising and manual labor.

Leadership Lodi applicants should be seeking to enhance their leadership potential, increase their knowledge of the community, and be willing to commit their individual talents for future years for the betterment of the Lodi community. Graduates of the program include individuals from a wide cross-section of the community, including representatives from both large and small businesses.
